Don't just stay still!
Optimizing the previous model can certainly be described as a real challenge, but experience in product development as well as feedback from over 4000 units of the model sold worldwide have helped to overcome this challenge.
Geometry: Stable, yet precise
The geometry of the Gingo Airlite 5, combined with the seat board, offers a superb blend of safety and precision. Turns are both stable and controlled, and while turbulence is dampened, you can always feel where the updraft is. This flight characteristic is the result of continuous fine-tuning over countless test flights.
It not only looks good, but it also flies that way.
The Gingo Airlite 5 features a cleaner, more aerodynamic profile as a result of advanced 3D modeling. The profile has been optimized and the fabric is smoother than ever before, resulting in minimal wrinkling in flight.
Slimmer than ever
Thanks to a more efficient design and state-of-the-art materials, approximately 100 grams have been saved compared to the previous model. This clearly places the harness in the hike & fly segment. Want a small example? A complete kit consisting of the Gingo Airlite 5, Calypso, and Yeti UL reserve parachute weighs only around 8 kg when carried in a lightweight backpack.
Built to last forever
The base has been upgraded to 210D Baby Rip for increased durability, and the back panel has been significantly padded for enhanced comfort. Automatic Cobra buckles are also used, as these are known for their extreme reliability and ease of use. The upper material is the same as that of the Genie Lite 3, which has proven to be exceptionally durable despite its light weight.
Maximum user-friendliness
The Gingo Airlite 5's settings are as simple as possible. The pilot's position is optimized through the geometry and the elimination of unnecessary adjustments such as seat plate depth. Furthermore, this ensures that sliding into the cockpit after takeoff and righting oneself for landing are always successful.
Emergency parachute compartment
The reserve compartment under the seat now features a larger, wider opening to simplify deployment even when the pull comes from the front. The tunnel is closed with a high-quality zipper, and the rescue handle is designed to stay securely in place while remaining easy to pull out when needed. An inner bag compatible with our Yeti, Yeti Cross, and Yeti UL reserve parachutes is included.
The airbag
The frontally deploying airbag takes up less volume than its predecessor, yet offers excellent protection (<20G). The pre-inflation system uses titanium rods.
