The new, super-lightweight QUADRO cross-cap rescue system is the perfect combination of harness and rescue device.
With the Quadro light series, there are now rescue systems that meet all the criteria. The demand for lightweight equipment is constantly growing, so it was time to bring rescue parachutes to market that fulfill these needs.
Further information
These new generation rescue devices combine all the features that a safe, modern rescue device must have:
- fast opening hours
- very low sink rate at maximum trailer load
- super lightweight
- smallest packing size
- Very long operating life: 15 years
These performance figures were achieved through the use of the latest and highest quality materials from Germany:
- ultra-lightweight, high-strength, water-repellent cloth from UTT
- lightweight and extremely break-resistant linen from Liros
- High-quality binding tapes from Güth & Wolf
The Quadro was certified according to the strict and globally recognized EN standards at Air Turquoise in Switzerland.
The EN certification requires two shock tests, two opening tests, and two sinking tests, each using the same rescue system model. The maximum permissible sink rate for this EN procedure is 5.5 m/s (the LTF certification allows a much higher sink rate of 6.8 m/s).
Anyone who places particular value on a pendulum-stable rescue system with a low sink rate and extremely light weight will opt for a Quadro rescue system.
Here is an example of the achieved sink rates on the Quadro 100 light with different trailer loads:
| Takeoff weight in kg | Sink rate in m/s |
|---|---|
| 100 | 5.2 |
